Tinu Anand was initially considered for the role of Crime Master Gogo. Also Crime Master Gogo is supposedly the nephew of Mogambo, the villain in ‘Mr India’.

In the movie Salman is asked if he has seen, ‘Sholay’, he responds, “Haan, dus baar”, Aamir Khan says “Iske baap ne likhi hai”. This is actually true, since Salman’s father Salim Khan was one of the writers for ‘Sholay’.

Aamir was so upset with Salman reaching the set late that he decided to never work with him again. This is the only film the two have worked together in.
