Varun Dhawan to perform in place of Shahid Kapoor after the latter walks out of an awards function?

When it comes to award ceremonies and red carpets, B-towners bring their best foot forward, in terms of performances and looks for the night. The star-studded awards functions make headlines for a couple of reason. From the best-dressed celebs to celebrity tiffs at the show, everything is under the radar.

In a recently held award ceremony, Shahid Kapoor reportedly lost his cool, left the show in haste and denied performing too. Due to which, organisers were looking for a replacement and the latest reports suggest that they have found one.

Yesterday, reports of Shahid walking out of an awards function surfaced online. The actor had reportedly refused to perform at the ceremony after he was denied the Best Actor Award, which was promised to him by the organisers beforehand. Shahid was supposed to get the award for his blockbuster film Kabir Singh, however, the award went to Ranveer Singh. This did not go down well with the Kabir Singh actor and he decided to walk out.

Now, as per the latest reports, Varun Dhawan has replaced Shahid and he will be performing in his place. His act was shot yesterday after a day of rehearsal. Also, he performed on an unreleased song from his upcoming film, Street Dancer 3D.
