This year, 2019, is going to end tomorrow and upcoming year 2020 has already started knocking at our doorsteps. Knowing holidays in advance are always helpful to plan a schedule accordingly. Republic Day (January 26), Independence Day (August 15) and Mahatma Gandhi's birthday (October 2) are some of the days of national importance that most of us are aware of. But, besides these three days, there are some other state festivals on which the banks will remain closed.
India, which is popular for being a culturally diverse country, is known for celebrating various holidays and festivals. For example, there are festivals like Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Maha Shivratri, Onam, Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, Holi etc. Though, the banks have different sets of holidays which depends upon the region, state where the festivals is going to be celebrated.
